Well, I do have a hand cranked meat grinder. I never thought to
use it this way - we normally pound the ice and then put it in
the blender to make slushies. I think it only has the coarse
bladeset.

?? how about . . .  a very course meat grinder ??  dual purpose,
hand crank.
pre crush the cubes.  Its a grinder ! do Nuts and herbs and bread
crumbs,
just change the blades and nipple.
