Greetings.

Chocolate trifle???
How about a chocolate mousse version?
Alright this goes back to the early 1980's
and really dates me, but Julia Child published
a chocolate mousse brownie concoction that was
terrific. You lined a bowl with brownies from
this great rich chocolate brownie recipe. You
then filled the bowl with a rich chocolate mousse.
Chilled it for several hours. Then you unmolded
the bowl prior to serving. It turned out to be
this great brownie/mousse mixture that was as
they say to die for. And if you soaked the brownie
in alcohol, the recipe got even better.
It was published in her book
Julia Child and More Company. (Julia Child & Company
has the recipe for the flourless chocolate cake.)

The larger public libraries should have a copy.
(Mine's in storage at the moment.)
The Food Channel has been rerunning some of the
classic shows.
