This is why I converted my rope bed into a plank bed: the ropes are still
there, mind you, because they help keep the bed together - but on top
of the frame are 6 2-4's, and on top of those is a 3/8" sheet of plywood.
Then come two futons, and the usually bed coverings.
I get comfort, I get support, I get warmth when neceesary. And I get
quite a bit of storage under the bed. . .

I never sleep so well as at Pennsic. . .

By the way, bringing it back vaguely toward food stuff: does anyone have
any experience at using filters (Brita or one of its clones) for the Pennsic
tap water? Do they work well? Do they work at all?
