I've even heard from some of my friends that
Kool-Aid can be used as hair dye (if you're a teenager who
wants green or blue hair, and you live in a really small town,
you either have to mail-order dyes, or get creative . . .).
 	For a non-Period and non-food use, I've heard that
a concentrated (unsweetened) solution of lime Kool-Aid can
be used to clean lime scale/hard water stains off of glass.
Must be the acid content. It's very popular with aquarium
hobbyists because it's relatively non-toxic.
It makes you wonder why they bother to market this
stuff as a drink, when it's go so many other uses ... :)
