I was wondering what you were talking about when I read this part.  I had to 
go and look at the recipe again.  Somehow, when I made this, I did not see 
the "mash em" part and I left the fava beans whole.  Although it was not 
done according to the recipe, everyone really liked them.  We even made them 
for a feast!  Now I shall have to retry doing the mashing bit.

NO! NO!  Don't hate cooking!!  Cooking is good...cooking is 
soothing...cooking is fun...
