SC - a question

I beg a moment of your indulgence.  I just signed on to this
list, and I noticed that quite a bit of the volume is off topic
to SCA cooking.  Is this a fluke or is it standard?  If this is
standard, please let me know and I will remove myself from the
list.  I do not work with computers, and thus check my email
only once per day.  The high volume of this list is difficult
for me to keep up with.
