Vincent,
The ELCA Lutherans don't require you be Lutheran to partake of the Cup and
Bread. We are Baptist that joined the ELCA Lutheran church. Before joining
however we were only required to be baptized Christians.

You might be confusing all Lutherans for Wisconsin and Missouri Synod
Lutherans. A little more stricter brand of Lutheran.
