SC - fava beans

[Gwynydd of Culloden]

I have been assigned the task of cooking "Pottage of Beans" for an upcoming
feast and the recipe calls for fava beans.  Now, not being sure what they
look like, I have done some searching on-line ... and found a site which
talks about Pythagoras' prohibition on the eating of them.  I thought the
List might be interested.
