Well, there is Justin....and Emeril...and Paul Prudhomme...all from N'awleans.
And, in truth, one of the Iron Chefs is actually from NYC, Iron Chef Japanese!  And
I believe that all of the chefs that will be featured on the upcoming A&E Biography
series are all American.

So far as my favs are concerned, I'd have to go wtih Justin...he does great food,
and he's a realy delight to watch, though I've not seen him in a long time.  One of
my favorites from some time ago, before cooking shows took over an entire channel,
was The Frugal Gourmet.  He did a lot of great research, did wonderful
presentations and did some "onsites".  I'm just sorry that he ended his career in
such an ignominious manner.  We have most of his cookbooks and still use them on a
regular basis.
