I have sent on a message from Bear that I had saved detailing the 4
period recipes for bread that he knew of, but wondered if anyone had a
better answer for this gentle?
Go ahead and respond to the list if you wish, I can forward on any
pertinent info.

Subject: [TY] Looking for simple period bread recipie

Hi folks.

Our living history group, Novae Militiae, is going back to Jamestown, VA
again this year for the Military Through The Ages timeline. I would like
to
bake some period-looking bread for us to eat. Does anyone have a recipie
for making a period bread circa 1190? It doesn't really have to be a
period
recipie, but I am interested in how to bake it. I'm guessing a big lump
of
dough on a cookie sheet? In other words, I'm guessing it won't be
bread-pan
shaped like a loaf of wonder bread.

Suggestions?
