SC - potage of beans boiled

These were not in the freezer. They were in a wooden barrel, with a sign
that said 'fava'. That store has several barrels and boxes full of nice,
dried things. There are at least 3 colors of lentils, for example. I
don't care for the look of greenish brown lentils, but I do like to look
at the finished product when made with pale yellow or light reddish
orange lentils. A lot of the color leaches out when cooking. I've never
used canned fava or lentils, so I don't know how to compare my various
legumes.

Regards,

Allison
