I have a friend whose parents have become much more observant than they were
when we were children together (then they turned a blind eye to the gentile
child who would, when asked, turn on and off lights - Yael assures me that
we would never get away with this today.).  They have taken this to the
extreme of buying their milk from Melbourne (where it is certified) even
though the local Rabbi has said that Tasmanian milk is perfectly kosher!
