SC - Appropriate notice?

I haven't a clue as to how to answer this question. I'm the one they always
come to when Plans A, B and C have all pooped out, it's the night before and
there's no feast and all the tickets are sold. Normal people might want 1 month
or so? Really nervous cooks, 3-6 months.
