Well, I'm a children's librarian in Brooklyn.
Obligatory food item:  Several years ago, I did a really great window exhibit 
on period food, using my personal cookbook collection, little plates of 
various unusual spices (neatly labelled), mortars and pestles, shaped 
marzipan items, & photos of some wonderful subtlties from feasts I'd 
attended.
