I have references for Stachys Betonica (or Betonica
Officianalis) as being the period Wood Betony, as
well...also called Bishopswort. Interestingly, Marsh
Woundwort (S. palustris) also appears in sources under
a few different names, as well, all of which have been
ascribed curative properties ('All-Heal', Downy
WOundwort, and Panay).
There are just too many of these durned things....
which one were we originally discussing, anyway?
