Whoever speaks to her, tell her that most Out Of Office answering monsters
*CAN* be set to bounce the message only once to a given address.  So even if
it goes once to the list, it will not go a bazillion times.

Some of us HAVE to put on an autoanswer when we are away from the office, or
people get rather snappish when we do not reply to their emails.  But in
such cases it should be set to send only one message (and not in response to
every message as hers apparently was), or the person should sign off mailing
lists for the duration.

Autoanswer monsters are not instruments of the devil, they are just
instruments of modern business and commerce.  *SIGH*
