[Sca-cooks] Pennsic possibility...

I have a six page packing list that includes things like "one or two small
spare tents just in case" and "hanging candelabra (2), oriental rugs
(2)...." which I'll spare you, given that I'm not travelling light.

Assume that the days will be hot and the nights will be cold. Generally,
here's what you'll need:

A tent, or bespeak space in someone else's tent -- make sure this is
waterproof/stormproof, we always get "weather" at war

Warm bedding, because it can be quite cold at night. So, a thinsulite or
other camping pad, and a warm sleeping bag or bedroll

A cloak, which can go on your bed at night for extra warmth

If you are cooking, a very basic cook setup; if not, a plate/bowl/spoon/cup
(just for those meals where you are invited "out" to eat)

Garb -- the most comfortable shoes you can get
=all= your medieval "underwear" (for example, all your chemises, if
your clothing involves such)
clothing that is comfortable and not overly confining, unless you
are used to wearing corsets in 100 degree/100% humidity conditions

Toiletries, specifically some form of sunscreen that you're willing to wear.

Other things that are nice to have:

A chair (Walmart, resin chairs, $4.99 after you arrive...)
A banner with your arms to hang on your tent to say "Anahita's here!"
A small carpet or doormat to put at the door of your tent to avoid tracking
in dust/mud (Walmart again)
The accouterments of your favorite hobbies (fencing gear, or bow, or torch,
or whatever)
Lighting -- a candle lantern, a flashlight, just something so you dont' have
to sit in the dark
Contact info for where all your friends from the list are camping!
