[Sca-cooks] Strawberry Recipes?

What sort of custard are we talking here?  I assume egg and not flour based
(because of a discussion on this List some months ago), but it is a baked
custard or more of a custard sauce which is thick enough to set?  This
sounds really yummy and I know my Lady would love it!

I did use egg based, but if you aren't worried about 'period' its just as
good with flour based..tho I prefer the sauce warmed a trifel...
