[Sca-cooks] Almost final count on Cookie Exchange

Hello, all.  Well, today is the sign up deadline.  I want to make sure I
have this list absolutely correct now, before I post the absolute
definitive final count of people.  I also wanted to repost the other
info, just so everybody has it handy.

So, the list is at the end of the message, and here's the info:

Recipes don't have to be period, though period recipes are most
certainly welcome.

Cookies sent through the mail must be received at my house by December
15th (which is a Saturday, so you should really aim for the 14th.)  You
should sort them into baggies or similar packages, one for each person
participating.

There is not a required minimum number of cookies per baggie, because
some people may be doing very simple recipes and others very complicated
or expensive recipes.  With a count (almost definate) of 31 people, I
guess-timate most people will make between 3 and 6 cookies per bag,
unless they're making either huge gingerbread men or tiny press cookies.
  (I love my cookie press.  I can bloop out dozens of cookies in a few
minutes...)  Of course, nobody will complain if you make more :)

If anybody sends along an extra bag, I'll make up a package to send to a
homeless shelter.

On December 16th at 2 pm, all participants who live close enough to me
are invited to get together at my house to party... I mean sort out the
packages ;) We'll sort them and repackage them in the boxes.  On Monday
the 17th, I'll send them back out to folks.

I will print out a booklet with the recipes for everybody's cookies.
Please mark your baggies so people know which recipe goes to which
cookies!  E-mail the recipe to me by December 14th.  I'll also create a
webpage with the recipes for anybody who couldn't participate but is
interested in seeing what was made.

I'm going to try to reuse the boxes that everybody sends me their
cookies in for sending them back out, and I'm going to use air-popped
popcorn for packing material, so there is no packaging cost.  Just
postage.  Since it sounds like they may raise postal rates again, I'll
e-mail closer to the date with an estimate of that return postage to be
sent to me with your cookies.
