Actually our family recipe for fruitcake requires that
you start months in advance and make mincemeat with
real meat that is canned. Then you make the fruitcakes
using the homemade mincemeat... so our fruitcake contains,
fruits (candied, fresh and dried), nutmeats, and mincemeat.
