Since you are approaching Spring, think of planting something he'd enjoy - quick and gratifying. How about lettuce in its many forms? Or sunflowers? Or nasturtiums? All are edible and almost kid-proof and can be done in pots if you don't have a yard. Hope this helps, MD/Marged
