Actually, Simplicity and McCall's have been getting much better in the
authenticity of their costumes (probably due to the increasing popularity
of Ren-Faires).  We've been buying some of the better ones for our
newbies who are more used to working from a commercial pattern.  Take
another look at them, you may be suprised at what you find.
