   They offer these every year at the Highland games where we do a demo.
The whole concept makes me shudder, too, but that's a mildly funny
response as one of the highlights for that festival for me is the Scotch
eggs ...

    It's the thought of a high-fat, high-sugar chocolate bar being
deep-fried that bothers me.  If I can find someone who will eat it, and I
have time to get away from the fire, I would be willing to undertake a
minor anthropological foray into the world of the deep-fried Mars bar at
the Games, if there's interest.
