Storvik's A&S competition for Baron's Champs is
"period portable foods". I want to enter and do some
late period picnicy kinds of items. I figure now is
the time to go looking for sources. These are the
three books on the poison pen press site that I'm
interested in. I know that the English Housewife is
going to be on my shopping list but I was wondering
about the other two. Does anyone have them? (Yeah
right on this list?) Any advice about them?

The English Housewife - Gervase Markham, edited by
Michael Best.

Eating Shakespeare: Recipes and More From the Bard’s
Kitchen - Betty and Sonia Zyvatkauskas

Banquetting Stuffe - C. Anne Wilson, ed.

Does anyone have any other advice on sources of
information? Yes, I will be going to the Florigium,
but right now I'm wondering about books that I should
be looking for. My birthday is at the end of the
month so I'm thinking I can buy myself a couple of
books for a birthday gift.

Thanks,

Orlaith
