Umm, the person who did that (at least the person who did that on this end
of the known world, though I can see it happening in several other places)
many many moons ago also did the "leave the food out on a table overnight so
you can spice it to cover the stench" trick. I think she may monitor this
list. Don't know her personally (before my time---and I've been at it 18
years or so), but hubbie was present, and made 'em throw the meat away.

Oddly, she grew up to be a very well respected cooking laurel and multiple
peer in another kingdom. Everyone can grow up well, if given half a chance.
Let's hope everyone who'se inclined to do dumb things in the name of
authenticity has wiser minds present 'till they smarten up a bit.
