I believe the period apple is just called "Lady."  "Pink Lady" is a very
modern hybrid.  They have little trademark stickers on them.  I have no
idea if they are related to the original "Lady" apples, but based on
their shape, I think they are related to "Delicious" apples.  Only, Pink
Ladies actually *are* delicious :)

I've been looking high and low for Pink Lady trees to plant in my yard,
to no avail.  :(
