    I'm a real lightweight compared to you'all:

    _Out of the Silent Planet_;  CS Lewis   {recommended by a co-worker}

_Dangerous Tastes_ the story of spices; Andrew Dalby University of
California Press ISBN 0520227891
 good geography lessons, most out of text covers beyond 1600, but good
sources, Bibliography, further reading section, Glossary of spice names &
index.

_The complete Next Generation Trek IQ Book_ ; Alan G Rochussen ISBN
075222462X
short "before the bed warms up" readings/quizzes

    A Text for storytelling sources & "how-to" that's already been returned
to the Library {wanting to get more "book-learning" to be a GOOD
story-teller.}

_Best -Loved Folktales of the World_; Joanna Cole ISBN 1568651724 {coz now
I'm the Bard of Artemisia, and I have a "job" to do}

    Plus keeping up with my magazines: Fine Cooking, Cooks Illustrated,
Herbal Companion, etc
