chase this one down.
>choenix - a unit of measurement for wheat mentioned in Herodotus
choinix or cheonix -- Ancient Greek dry measure of approximately 1 U.S.
dry quart or 1.1 liters. 1/8 modios. Appears to be related to the modern
Persian measure chenica (or chemica), being 1.19 dry quarts or 1.32 liters.
modios -- Ancient Greek dry measure of approximately 7.86 U.S. dry quarts
or 8.7 liters. Often translated as a "bushel."
