I'll tell you what I do- In my period (1402- Norman France) you almost
never see women wearing necklaces, especially the kind they use usually for
awards. But I have a baldric that my SCA mum made for me after a bed
experience with a conference paper on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I
took the medallions off the necklaces and they are now hanging as gauds
from my baldric! It looks cool, is _very_ period for me, and I no longer
get flack for not wearing them. If you can do it, it might be an option.
