If nothing else, the drawing of the clockwork rotisserie shows one of the
earliest depictions of a fusee to make an even rate of turn, in this
application, and certainly a very early depiction of a fusee in any
application.
I like the pictures... don't we have these somewhere else, like on Cindy
Renfrow's site?
