But wouldn't the folks bothered by burning sage leaves also be bothered
by the aroma given off by the sage leaves, even when not burning? Or is
that amount of vapor at such a lower level that this doesn't occur? Or
is the heat of the burning needed to change the sage oils into something
irritating?

(who is allergic only to pollen or somesuch. And luckily whatever has
been bothering me here for the last week or so, doesn't seem to exist
up at Pennsic)
