Well, more like chicken croquettes...

On the other hand, death mcnuggets are mechanically separated
chicken bits [shreds of meat and cartillage. look it up on google
if you want to be grossed out.] a soy/starch filler/binder that
are steam formed/precooked then battered and prefried. They get
their finish frying at the store itself.

If you take the chicken bits and add bread crumbs and egg instead
of guar gum, soy flour and other additives, you get the insides
of the mcnugget without the batter step. You could, of course
make little nugget cutters in the funky oblong, round and
mini-drumette shapes that mcnuggets come in to shape the chicken
mash befpre frying it ;-)
