[Sca-cooks] sorta OT - Cookie Exchange 2002?

You can use any kind of hard liquor, I've used Rum, Bourbon, Brandy, etc.
depending on my mood.  It's basically nilla wafers ground up, good cocoa
powder (I usually use giardelli) and powdered sugar.  The Liquor holds it
all together and then you roll it in either more cocoa powder, powdered
sugar or chopped up nuts, toffee, coconut, etc.   It's a liquor truffle.

I once forgot a tin of these in the garage (mostly underground) for a
year..... found them in with the tins the next year that I collect for this
purpose.  Each little rum ball was very, very, very potent.  I opened the
tin at a dry site and was told in no uncertain terms that this was not a
site where you could have alcohol and to put my "bottle" away.  When I
explained it was candy...... well, I had to put that away too!!!
