[Sca-cooks] Vigils, was ARRRRGH!

Last night at our feast, we were seated at stone picnic tables around a
circle of park ramadas or covered areas. The high table was set up in the
open space in the middle. There were about fifty people there and feast was
remarkably close to being on time, considering that the cooks had been in a
car accident on the way to the event. The menu was mundane food. The King
and Queen decided to hold a roving court and walked around to the goups of
tables and stopped at the ones where there was someone with whom they have
business. The table before mine had a 10-year-old girl who was born into the
SCA and does feild heraldry and who received the Kingdom youth award. At two
tables after mine, Mordonna (Anne) glowed in her blue silk gown as the King
told the story of her award and said it was his pleasure to award it to her
in court twice, as he had received reccomandations to elevate both her
names!
