That's teenager disease, LOL!  Although you reminded me of my own hearing
loss.....I cannot hear the lower registers clearly...I had complications
from the mumps as a child, and one of the side effects was the nerve damage.
When men are talking to me, I'm typically reading lips, which I guess
developed as compensation for the hearing loss. I can read lips fairly well,
but have increasing difficulty as my husbands mustache gets longer and
longer (he eventually remembers and trims it).
