Greetings from Solveig! You Fiend! You cad! And, here I was in the home
stretch of my mid-winter book buy. I've just ordered a copy of the PPC
collection. I even rearranged my outstanding Amazon order to do so. Now,
all I have to do is finish sorting out my big buy from the Amazon store
in Japan, and I will be done for a few months. I found a three volume
history of Japanese food and food culture which I don't own and another
two volume history. SIGH! So many books and so little money to buy them
and even less time to read them! However, I am still puttering away at
my cookbook project. The book on Heian cooking appears to have gone back
into print. Then there is the volume on food medicine in the Ishinpo, but
that costs almost $200.00. I'm going to try to check it out at the
Harvard Yen-Ching library next week before sinking serious money into it.
