I was served a Proper Tea a couple of months ago, by some Australians.
Several of us had gathered for a fiber arts Thing, and the SO of our
hostess, and a friend of his, felt we needed Tea. As they explained, one
can eat Tea all day... we'd work on learning something, and then we'd
have scones and clotted cream and lemon curd and tea, and then we'd
work, and then we'd have cucumber sandwiches and ham sandwiches and
other sandwiches and more tea, and then we'd work, and then we'd have
trifle and sherry...

OK, so my Proper Tea was prepared by someone with magenta hair and
several interesting piercings. It was still Tea... And it worked very
well for that kind of gathering. and was delicious and appreciated! And
a Very Good Idea.
