Yes, but if the twine was orange, it means you're following the
Latvian tradition, and if you are, you'd better make sure the slipper
is _blue_ leather, or it means you're casting doubts on your
mother-in-law's virtue. At least, if it's a Tuesday, before 4:17 PM,
in July, in an even-numbered year. In an odd-numbered year the term
"red hot mama" is interpreted by Latvians (not to mention the Salmgi
tribesmen of the Amazon Basin) in a completely different way.
