Having skipped rocks on both the Mississippi River and Oklahoma farm ponds,
there is a difference.  It was/is harder to skip rocks on the river.  Usually a
lot of wake from the barges and the water is choppy.  I always have better luck
skipping stones on the farm ponds.  Surface tension?
