Weald & Downland Open Air Museum
If you thought tudor food and cooking was a
rather coarse and messy affair, think again!
You will be able to discover what late medieval
and early 16th century cookery and table manners
were really like - they were much more sophisticated
and polite than you might think.
Peter Brears, the distinguished authority on the
history of food, will be setting the record straight.
In the Museums tudor kitchen building, Winkhurst,
cooks will prepare a whole range of dishes of the period...
