Actually, try Muiredach's approach first. Approach the problem
diplomatically and rationally. If she refuses to be sensible and
responsible, and insists on histrionics, then ignore her, and make it
widely known that you *did* offer a solution and she would have none of
it. *Then* you get to strangle her.
