Thanks for this additional recipe description. This is the first I
remember this one being mentioned. This reminds me most of a recent,
modern recipe that was given here, except that recipe used
horseradish rather than turnips for this. That's a recipe that is
on my list to try sometime.

Yes, turnips do show up in various compost recipes. In the Florilegium,
the compost recipes are in the compost-msg file, and some can still
be found in the pickled-foods-msg file.

Any turnip tart recipes, although I don't remember any, are likely
to be in the pies-msg or turnips-msg files.

I think anything I might have on turnip greens is likely to be in
the salads-msg or vegetables-msg file. Maybe there are enough
period steamed/stewed greens that I should create a greens-msg file
or some such.
