I have no idea. I just know that these jars have a mixture of black and
burgundy/purplish olives...

Oh! Okay, I have seen what might be considered burgundy/purplish olives.
When you said "red olives" I was thinking of an olive that was brighter
red like the color of a pimento or maraschino cherry.
