Jared and Huette,

I've got to agree with the consensus. If the Baron and
the Finance Committee want that much control, tell
them that they now control the whole thing, and find
something else to do that's just as exhausting- run a
marathon toting a 50 lb pack, or whatever.

Huette, if you let the Baron take that much control
over the event, what are you there for? You've earned
your alphabet soup by being good at what you do. Your
awards didn't arrive because you were some flake with
a half-baked idea of how things should be, they
arrived because you worked hard and successfully and
consistantly for years to make things happen. If he
doesn't trust you by now, then you don't need to deal
with him.

Same for you, Jared. You're no newbie in a generic
T-tunic and a safety-pinned towel tabard. You've
proved time after time that you know what you're
doing. You don't need the hassle.

Yes, being asked to do a Kingdom level event is
prestigious, but not so prestigious that you need to
work for some yammerhead going out of his way to shoot
himself in the foot. Give it a bye, unless the idiots
bow out. You just don't need the hassle.
