Candle Lanterns have been specifically forbidden. It is tinder-dry out
there. This war has been cancelled in prior years due to fires in the area,
so they are taking no chances. They still might go the whole way and have to
disallow camp stoves and propane lanterns as well, in which case, those of us
who go for the evening activities might as well stay home. Besides, cold
poptarts make a bleak diet for energetic fighters.
Mind you, my lord and I were planning to go to the World Science Fiction
Convention anyway that weekend, but we're still looking for suggestions just
to be generally helpful.
