[Sca-cooks] Regarding Pel v Laur cook-off

Unto the Esteemed Members of the Cooks List:

I have, from time to time, proclaimed that IMO the Pelican Chefs of Caid

could best the Laurel Chefs of Caid in a cook-off. This has, of course,
given rise to much friendly discussion but there is no plan for such a
competition to occur.

Baroness Eowyn, Baroness Mary Taran, Mistress Selene and I were parties
to
one of these "oh yeah? well, MY cooks are better'n your cooks any day!"
discussions at last Saturday's Quidditch Tournament. (By the way, in our

hypothetical competition, those with both the Pelican and the Laurel
would
be exempt from competition.)

Please let me hasten to assure you all that there is no intent to insult
or
exclude anyone - this is just one of those silly arguments that
undoubtedly
grows out of the rural tradition of arguing about whose cow gives more
milk
or whose sheep give whiter wool. Honest.
