No doubt about it-- I have to get a
T-shirt that says "The One that Dies with
the Most Cookbooks Wins"...
I had over 900 cookbooks and food associated
works that I catalogued prior to our academic
year in Cambridge. That was 1984... it was
also the last time I catalogued them.
Right now the working collection is 1000 volumes
and the other several thousand at least 9000
maybe 9400 or so are boxed.
And seriously 'Lainie we are going to build
a barn... I have a Timberpeg design all picked
out... whether we start with compact shelving or
not is the question. I also have cooking stuff
too, enough anyway to turn out a good sized
dessert banquet or sideboard.

(Actually, I once knew someone who rebuilt a barn and turned it into a
really cool house. I could see doing that...)
