Yesyesyes, much worse than any of that... WHY does this stain on our
already shaken culture have to occur within 20 miles of MY house?
People aren't going to associate this, rightly, with the culture that
brought us the deep-fried Mars Bar. They're going to say, "Oh, yeah.
Park Slope, Brooklyn. That's where they have those deep-fried
Twinkies, isn't it?" (Well, okay, the likelihood of anyone on the
planet _ever_ saying this is slim, but why spoil a good argument with
logic?)

I think the part that pains me the most is the following grim line:
"They taste like beignets."

See what happens when you let those darned FOREIGNERS in??? ;-) There
goes the neighborh -- excuse me -- the neighbourhood...
