I love Cook's Illustrated so much, I bought the hardbound historical
collection. When they say "the best," they mean it... and they've recast the
recipe twenty or thirty times to be sure. Their equpiment tests and taste
tests are right on the mark. It's totally worth the money if you're serious
about cooking - I think it's as essential to the kitchen as Shirley
Corriher, Harold McGee or Julia Child.
