This is an announcement of the upcoming Siege cookery contest at Three
Saints and a Pig event. Please forward to those
lists or individuals that you think may be interested as I am on a very
limited number of e-lists right now.
Thank you-Mistress Isabeau

THE SCENARIO:
Your Barony has been under siege for several weeks and is on the verge of
Starvation, But in the nick of time the opposing Baron has indicated
interest in a parley. There will need to be a feast for discussion of a
treaty between the Barons Your Baron has called on you to prepare the
feast. The meager supplies left in your baronies store rooms have been
gathered together and your task is to prepare a fabulous feast from this
rabble without letting on that this is the last of the food. It is up to
you to represent your situation as that of a bountiful food supply... That
it would not matter to you if the siege continued on for many weeks because
the store rooms are full.
If this sounds like the task for you then please join us at:

THE "Pensic Style" Siege Cookery Contest at Three Saints and a Pig event.
April 13th, 2002 (Ross Camp, West Lafayette Indiana)

The Baronies of Rivenstar and White waters are planning a war and what
better reason to hold a White Water's tradition-The Siege Cookery Contest.
I wanted to make this a little different by making it a Campfire Siege
Cookery Contest, but alas ground fires are not allowed on-site, So that's
how it became a "Pennsic Style" Siege Cookery Contest (Also because we don't
have any in-door kitchen space to spare.) So bring your Coleman Camp
Stoves, Hibachi's, Gas Grills, Camp Coolers (if you feel you will need
refridgeration) and your cooking implements and strut your Siege cooking
skills. Ingredients will be announced and provided on-site. These will be
similar to but not exactly like ingredients provided for previous Siege
cookery Contests run by the originator Lady Isabel. Entries may be made
either by groups or individuals and will be judged on
Appearance/Presentation, Apparent Quantity, Number of different dishes, and
Palatability/Taste. Notification ahead of time is appreciated in order to
know how many sets of ingredients I will need to provide. Remember, as in
past Siege Cookery Contests-No serving utensils or dishes will be provided,
It is highly suggested that you bring your own. Remember-appearance counts
in the judging. You are allowed up to 1/2 cup total of herbs or spices in
any combination from home. If you would like to enter but don't have a camp
stove, let me know and we'll try to help. For notification or questions
please contact- Mistress Isabeau Pferdebandiger (Karen Stegmeier) ph. (765)
